ICYMI: The Grown Ups Are Back From Vacation

On August 31, this blog featured a post titled, Praying for 9/15: Syria, the Guns of August, and the Vacation Schedule in which we suggested that the best thing that could happen was inaction until Sept.15th, by which time the grownups would have returned from vacations and holidays, resumed their hegemony and a modicum of decorum would return to affairs of States.
